Thank you so much to all those who participated in our recycling efforts this year. We started late, but we really appreciate all you did.
Look for some changes next year:
- new recycling bins
- nicer bags to put in the bins
- emptying done by departments; student ownership
Kudos to the Science and Language departments for mega recycling efforts! Runners up kudos go to Music/Drama, Business/SpEd and Math departments.
Altogether, recycling within the departments went much better than in the halls. The bins were kept in much better shape, and had more recyclables (and less trash) in them. Thank you to students and staff who helped monitor and encourage.

It was such a pleasure seeing all of you this morning on the announcements. Thanks to those who run the announcements for letting us in. And, a thank you to my special guest stars.
We went to empty the recycle bins in the Commons today. Ew. Can you tell which is which?

The black bags are the trash cans; the white bags are the recycle bins.
Here is a gentle reminder of what can go in the recycle bin:
- plastics with the recycle triangle
- aluminum cans
- glass
These go in the trash:
- any kind of paper product (paper plates, paper holders for fries & cheese sticks, napkins, etc.)
- milk cartons
- thin cardboard
